Ferrari Trailer

Director Michael Mann is known by some of the great movie titles and this movie is a homework for young future directors. All that is done in “Ferrari” is by the book. The story is a little bit too ordinary and boring, it even could be said that the movie is missing plot, as least good one. But that hs been compensated by retro scenery and some really good shots.

This is not a comedy and there are even some dark parts of the story, but the characters look a bit funny in certain moments which is totally fine. But two scenes are absolutely hilarious – the car crashes scenes. In those two scenes, not just that cars fly but also drivers fly for a few dozens of meters. To make things even worse, you can easily notice they use dummies in the scenes. This way, Mann made himself a bit funny and movie put in the category together with not that good biography films.

However, “Ferrari” shows too small piece of Enzo’s life that is, I am sure, far richer and definitely more then a couple of races which is basically the only thing shown in the movie. I am afraid that Ferrari’s fans will be disappointed.
